Larson grave

Also: John A. Larson

CemeteriesHistoric or vanishedDouglas County

What we know

Single grave of John A. Larson, south of Russellville (county map, S-0123, citing Don Elliott). Elliott's Cemeteries of Colorado puts the grave in the NE1/4 of Sec. 32, T8S R65W, and his coordinates fall there, about 0.44 mile south of this point, which is the county map's pin (S-0127).

Where it was

Pin on the Douglas County Historic Resource Map (DCHR-097; Douglas County and Douglas County Libraries, 2012, on the Larkspur Historical Society's Google map, S-0123). Where that map and ours place the same site, the pins mostly fall within about 300 feet. Good to a few hundred feet.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
