What we know

'East Husted near the Santa Fe tracks'; when the store at West Husted burned, the post office moved here (Lavelett 1979, S-0013, pp. 66-67). 'There was a station for the Santa Fe Railroad at East Husted' (S-0021, p. 104). West Husted, the D&RG side, is the Husted point.

Where it was

East Husted's station base lies three-quarters of a mile south of the North Gate on the New Santa Fe Trail (Eckert's Sun Hills neighborhood history, S-0114); placed three-quarters of a mile along the trail (the old Santa Fe grade in OpenStreetMap) from its crossing of North Gate Boulevard. Good to a few hundred feet.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
