What we know

Larkspur's double-humped landmark west of town: 'Monkey-face is the common name, "Raspberry Mountain" the actual one' (Jackson, in the Larkspur Historical Society's Book 1, S-0005, pp. 234, 240; Cannon, p. 93), and a photo of the Larkspur School is captioned 'Monkey Face - [Raspberry] Mountain' (p. 303). It is named among the town's landmarks in the Larkspur Historic Committee's 1989 letter to the state preservation board (p. 441). GNIS lists a separate summit, 'Monkey Face,' about 700 yards east of this one (39.21956, -104.90119).

Where it was

USGS GNIS summit 'Raspberry Butte', Douglas County (2021 Colorado file, S-0007). Good to a few hundred feet.
