What we know

Charles F. Wilson's 'beautiful addition, Palmer Lake park': in May 1890 Mr. and Mrs. Wilson of Denver chose a site there for a home and meant to build a cottage at once; their tenth-anniversary party was held at their home at Palmer Lake park that August, and summer visitors from Denver, Omaha and Monument were 'sojourning at Palmer Lake park' in July 1891 (Rocky Mountain News, May 12 and Aug. 19, 1890; July 5, 1891; S-0118). The society's map places it in Douglas County, northwest of the lake.

Where it was

Pin in the Larkspur Historical Society's Google Earth version of the county map ('DC Resources,' Settlement folder), read from the feature's card on screen, 2026-10-07 (S-0123). The card has no description; good to about a quarter mile.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
