What we know
District 5 from about 1874; a log-cabin school from 1888, replaced in 1908 by a 20-by-30-foot frame building a mile east, used until the early 1950s (county map, S-0123). It merged with the Sedalia school in March 1951 (Weber and Schlupp, ch. 43, Boyd, p. 248; S-0262).
Where it was
Pin on the Douglas County Historic Resource Map (DCHR-173; Douglas County and Douglas County Libraries, 2012, on the Larkspur Historical Society's Google map, S-0123). Where that map and ours place the same site, the pins mostly fall within about 300 feet. Good to a few hundred feet.
Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
