Coal shed (?)

Also: the society's 'Coal Shed?'

Railroad stations, depots and structuresHistoric or vanishedDouglas County

What we know

Marked 'Coal Shed?' beside the railroad between Larkspur and Greenland on the society's Earth map, with the society's own question mark and no description (S-0123). In 1902 the Santa Fe was reported ready to move its coal chutes from Palmer Lake to Larkspur (S-0122); whether this is related is not known.

Where it was

Pin in the Larkspur Historical Society's Google Earth version of the county map ('DC Resources,' top-level point), read from the feature's card on screen, 2026-10-07 (S-0123). Good to a few hundred feet as a pin; what stood here is unconfirmed.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
