What we know

The Pine Grove post office, applied for in July 1863 'on the bank of Cherry Creek,' established Dec. 8, 1870, with the local name '20 Mile House' (1871), NW1/4 Sec. 22, T6S R66W; discontinued Nov. 1877, re-established Dec. 18, 1877 with James S. Parker as postmaster, and renamed Parker on March 17, 1882 (Bauer, via S-0123). Nelson and Susan Doud owned the 20-Mile House in 1870.
