What we know

Inland hamlet on the boundary road between school districts 20 and 26; PO Nov. 25, 1895 to July 15, 1954, mail to Elbert. A Sunday school from January 1899; a United Brethren church built in 1900; Dockum & Son, 'the pioneer merchants', sold out in 1902 to O'Neill & Moore, who also ran the Fondis cheese factory (H. A. Moore, manager).
