## What we know

Edith Wolford came to teach at the Black Forest school in 1934; her husband died in 1938 (Ira, per the church's charter list), after which she boarded with the Tevebaughs, in their log house about half a mile east of the community center (Ellett pp. 28, 31). In 1941 her home was in the Falcon School District; in 1956 she sold land about a quarter mile west of the community center for the Truett-Frazier garage (Ellett pp. 30, 66). Ellett prints a 1987 photo of 'Edith Wolford's Place' (p. 14) without saying which house. She taught 52 years, retired in 1969, and the school was renamed for her (p. 44).

## Where it was

'A big two story house just off Shoup Road on Hering' (Ellett p. 28); placed at the Shoup-Herring junction in OpenStreetMap. Which side, and how far off Shoup, is not stated. One source; good to about a quarter mile.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
