## What we know

An artesian well and a water tank were built here in 1888 for the Santa Fe's locomotives (Castle Rock Journal, March-August 1888); the present tank replaced it about 1906 and now supplies Sedalia; National Register, 2002 (county map, S-0123).

Pin on the Douglas County Historic Resource Map (DCHR-125; Douglas County and Douglas County Libraries, 2012, on the Larkspur Historical Society's Google map, S-0123). Where that map and ours place the same site, the pins mostly fall within about 300 feet. Good to a few hundred feet.
