## What we know

Mary Schubarth's home, photographed with her drawing water at the well behind it (Lavelett, S-0011, p. 123). The society's walking tour dates the house to about 1881 and describes it as 'an example of early townfolk living', with the well and outhouse out back (S-0235); Lavelett's caption says the home was 'once located' here, so whether it still stands is not settled. The Schubarth family farmed and ran a threshing outfit around Monument (S-0011).
