## What we know

Built when the highway was laid through Monument in 1927-28; the girder was lettered 'THE GRAND CANYON LINE' (photograph, S-0021, p. 42).

## Where it was

'Santa Fe Railroad underpass on Highway 105 was once located just east of Washington Street' (Communities of the Palmer Divide, S-0021, p. 42); placed where the abandoned Santa Fe grade in OpenStreetMap crosses Second Street (Highway 105), about a quarter mile east of Washington, past Jefferson: the only Santa Fe crossing of Second. Good to about a hundred feet.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
