## What we know

A bunkhouse of about 1890 for the Santa Fe's section men (PLHS walking tour, S-0235). Both railroads kept section crews every few miles, each a boss and several men; DeLos Barnhardt was the Santa Fe section boss for many years, and the men worked for 40 cents an hour, six days a week (Lavelett, S-0011, p. 63). It stands beside the site of Father Dyer's parsonage (mapped).
