## What we know

District 10, formed before 1868 when Parker was Pine Grove; about 1875 James S. Parker gave the land for a brick school with a bell tower, across the road from the 20 Mile House; school, church and meeting place for the community. Merged into the Parker Consolidated School about 1915; the building was torn down after 1992 (county map, S-0123). Pine Ridge Grange No. 199 (organized June 3, 1911) is pinned here too.

## Where it was

Pin on the Douglas County Historic Resource Map (DCHR-200; Douglas County and Douglas County Libraries, 2012, on the Larkspur Historical Society's Google map, S-0123). Where that map and ours place the same site, the pins mostly fall within about 300 feet. Good to a few hundred feet.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
