## What we know

The Santa Fe built through Larkspur in September 1887. Its first station was a box-car depot that also housed the agent; a freight collision on Dec. 31, 1900 'practically demolished' it, and 'the new Santa Fe depot is now ready' in December 1905 (Castle Rock Journal, S-0122). In 1948 the post office was '597 feet to AT&SF Depot' (site report, S-0113).

## Where it was

Pin in the Larkspur Historical Society's Google Earth version of the county map ('DC Resources,' Train Depot folder), read from the feature's card on screen, 2026-10-07 (S-0123). Good to a few hundred feet.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
