## What we know

Built in 1892 by John Geiger and moved a short way southwest in 1910; a cement foundation in 1926 and electricity in October 1936, in time for the Halloween program; closed for good in 1957 and now a residence (county map, S-0123). Two Larkspur society texts date the move to about 1900, not 1910 (S-0045); District 23. The county's Greenland Townsite landmark page (2011) says the school 'opened in 1883,' closed in 1951, reopened in 1954 and closed in 1957 (S-0126); the 1883 date may be the district's and 1892 this building's.
